# I can't log in to my HelpDocs account or complete signup

Not being able to log in can be super frustrating—we hear you. Here's a list of troubleshooting tips to try out if you're not able to log into your account.

1. 🔓 **Make sure your password is correct**  
   We're expected to remember so many passwords it can get tricky to remember the right password for the right service. If you're getting an error saying 'Error invalid login' you'll want to reset your password. Click [here](/article/bNkaBKnVKN-how-do-i-reset-my-password) to find out how.
   
   You could use a password manager like [1Password](http://1password.com/) or [Dashlane](http://www.dashlane.com/) to store and generate your passwords.

2. 📧 **Double-check your email address**  
   It might be that you've accidentally entered the wrong email address or you've left in spaces at the end.  
   Make sure you're using the correct email address and that there aren't any spaces at the start or end of the email address field.
3. ✅ **Ask if your email was correct on the invite**  
   If you've just been invited by a teammate it might be that they entered your email address incorrectly (typos eh?). Ask them to check it on their account.  
   If it turns out to be wrong they should click **Remove** and then invite your user again with the correct email address.
4. **🗺️ Check where you're signing in**  
   Make sure you're using the [correct account URL](/article/WB6uNZoL8j-logging-in-to-your-help-docs) to log in. This will be in the form: `<your-subdomain>.helpdocs.io/login`
