# Hiding the Contact Button

When you sign up to HelpDocs, you'll automatically be given a **Contact** button (which [triggers a contact form](https://support.helpdocs.io/article/vlvwTXSbFq-understanding-the-contact-form)) in the upper-right hand side of the header. This way, it's easy for customers to get in touch if they can't find the answer they're looking for.

If you're using one of our Contact Form Integrations (like [Intercom](https://support.helpdocs.io/article/n6sqaRYWZ7-connecting-intercom) or [GoSquared](/article/HxRp36FBxj-connecting-go-squared)) we automatically make the Contact button trigger a new conversation in the live chat window.

### Hiding the Contact Button

If you want the contact button to be completely hidden no problem! Just leave the **Contact Email** blank. We'll hide the button and the email contact form won't be available for your users.

1. Go to **Settings** > **General**
2. Leave **Contact Email** blank
3. Hit **Save Changes**
