# Featuring an Article

Featuring is a great way to promote and highlight your best and most important articles in HelpDocs. Featured articles are displayed first in templates, and on some, display a special icon beside the title.

Your developer can make use of the `is_featured` [handlebars helper](/article/kvaf7f4kf9-handlebars-helpers-for-custom-templates) for your custom HTML template.

1. In the article editor top bar click the ![](https://files.helpdocs.io/Ytt2uahFxY/articles/OOuYaQ5HdZ/1785611987300/pencil-icon.svg) icon
2. Tick the **Featured Article** checkbox
3. Hit **Apply changes & close**

To un-feature an article, follow the same steps and untick the **Featured Article** checkbox.
