# How to Share an Article

Sometimes you just need a quick link to your article to share with someone. Whether it's for a coworker, customer, or your own reference.

HelpDocs makes sharing articles super simple with our handy share sheet.

1. Head to your article (from the **Content** tab or by searching)
2. Press the ![Share icon](https://files.helpdocs.io/Ytt2uahFxY/articles/apc16kupa1/1780061810024/share-icon.svg) **Share** button in the top right
3. You'll get a bunch of handy options to choose from

#### Share Options

Once you click the share button, you'll see a few options to get your article where it needs to go:

- **Preview link** - Get a quick link to [preview](/article/HNxszJygwT-previewing-articles) how your article looks
- **Open in new tab button** - Pop your article open in a fresh browser tab
- **Copy to clipboard button** - Instantly copy the article link to paste anywhere you like
- **Generate QR code button** - Create a scannable QR code for your article
- **Share to Slack with a message** - If you have Slack enabled, you can share directly to your team with a custom message

The Slack sharing option only appears if you have the [Slack integration](/article/YrlkJgB0lR-share-articles-from-help-docs-to-slack) set up for your Knowledge Base.

Each option gives you flexibility in how you want to get your content to the right people. Whether you're copying links for emails, generating QR codes for printed materials, or sharing directly to Slack, you've got all the tools you need right at your fingertips 🎯
