# Adding Hotjar

[Hotjar](http://hotjar.com/) is a fast & visual way to understand your users. By enabling Hotjar on HelpDocs you'll be able to track how users are searching, reading, and using your knowledge base.

### Adding Hotjar

1. Inside your Hotjar dashboard
   
   1. Head to **Settings** &gt; **Sites & Organizations**
   2. To the left of your site you'll see a numerical identifier, **copy** that
2. In HelpDocs
   
   1. Head to **Settings** &gt; **Integrations** &gt; **Hotjar**
   2. Click ☰ **More** &gt; **Connect**
   3. Paste in the numerical identifier in the **Hotjar site ID** box
   4. Hit **Save Changes**
