# Linking to a Part of an Article

Sometimes you'll want to send your customers to a specific part of an article. Maybe they only need the instructions for a specific OS or shortcut to the step-by-step part. The great part is we make this super easy using Anchor Headers.

We'll automatically create an id for each header when you've [enabled a Table of Contents](/article/pxWAp5tLwU-adding-a-table-of-contents). A *Windows* header would get `#windows` anchor ID added to the URL.

### How to Get the Link

Once your Table of Contents is set up, visit your published article and click the header you want to link to in the Table of Contents. You can then copy and paste the URL that shows up in your address bar 🍰

The anchor link will include the article URL plus the header ID at the end, making it easy to share direct links to specific sections.
