# Signing a Data Processing Agreement (DPA)

The GDPR framework [introduced the Data Processing Agreement](https://gdpr.eu/what-is-data-processing-agreement/) (DPA). We've extended our DPA to include the UK GDPR and CCPA (the California Consumer Privacy Act). In certain situations when handling sensitive data, a signed DPA is needed.

To access certain features inside HelpDocs you'll need to sign a DPA. We've made this super simple and it lives right inside your account.
