# Featuring a Category

Featuring is a great way to promote your best and most important categories in HelpDocs.

In most of our templates featured categories are exactly the same as regular categories. It's up to the theme developer to decide **how to display them**.

In [custom HTML templates](https://support.helpdocs.io/article/l8q1fmsnx7-getting-started-with-a-custom-html-template) featured articles could look totally different. They could be displayed on a separate page, or highlighted.

### How to Feature a Category

1. Head to the **Content** tab (or [click here](https://my.helpdocs.io/app/content))
2. Find the category and click **☰ More** > **Edit metadata**
3. Click **Edit Metadata**
4. Tick **Featured Category**
5. Hit **Save Changes**
