Working on your Knowledge Base into the wee hours? Save your precious eyes by enabling dark mode in HelpDocs. It's an easy way to reduce eye strain and customize your display preferences when you're burning the midnight oil.
By default, HelpDocs sets your dark mode preference based on your device's system settings. This means if your computer is already set to dark mode, HelpDocs will match that preference automatically.
Changing Your Theme
Want to override your system settings and choose your own dark/light adventure? Here's how to take control:
- Head to your Profile dropdown in the top left
- Click Theme. It shows the theme you're using right now on the right.
- Pick Light, Dark or System. The one you're using has a tick next to it.
That's it! HelpDocs switches straight away π
Available Theme Options
- Light: Always uses light mode regardless of your system settings
- Dark: Always uses dark mode regardless of your system settings
- System: HelpDocs adapts to your operating system preferences, switching automatically when your device changes
Your theme is tied to you, not your browser. Pick it once and it follows you to any browser or device you sign in on, and to every HelpDocs account you belong to. Other users on your team keep their own choice.
