I can't log in to my HelpDocs account or complete signup

Not being able to log in can be super frustrating—we hear you. Here's a list of troubleshooting tips to try out if you're not able to log into your account.

  1. 🔓 Make sure your password is correct
We're expected to remember so many passwords it can get tricky to remember the right password for the right service. If you're getting an error saying 'Error invalid login' you'll want to reset your password. Click here to find out how.
You could use a password manager like 1Password or Dashlane to store and generate your passwords.
Receiving an 'Incorrect password' message when you're trying to sign up for a new account? It's likely you've used HelpDocs before and will need to use the same password as before (or request a reset). When you've set a new password you can continue the signup process.
  2. 📧 Double-check your email address
It might be that you've accidentally entered the wrong email address or you've left in spaces at the end.
Make sure you're using the correct email address and that there aren't any spaces at the start or end of the email address field.
  3. Ask if your email was correct on the invite
If you've just been invited by a teammate it might be that they entered your email address incorrectly (typos eh?). Ask them to check it on their account.
If it turns out to be wrong they should click Remove and then invite your user again with the correct email address.
  4. 🗺️ Check where you're signing in
Make sure you're using the correct account URL to log in. This will be in the form: <your-subdomain>.helpdocs.io/login

If you're still struggling to log into your account just get in touch. We're happy to investigate the issue 🕺
