Connecting Heap

Heap is an analytics platform that gives you insights into your customers' digital journeys so you can optimize their experience.

HelpDocs integrates with Heap to make it easy for you to track customer journeys on your Knowledge Base.

Connecting Heap

1. In your Heap dashboard
   1. Head to Account > Manage > Projects
   2. Click your project (usually Main with the Production environment)
   3. Copy the ID from the Environments section. This is the same APP_ID you'll see in Heap's web code snippet

2. In your HelpDocs dashboard
   1. Head to Settings > Integrations
   2. Find and click the Heap tile
   3. Enter the APP_ID you copied in Heap App ID
   4. Hit Save changes
