Setting Category Display Order

There's a few different ways to set the order that categories appear on your HelpDocs.

Available Sort Orders

  • Alphabetical. A-Z ordering by category title
  • Created Date. When the category was first created (most recent first)
  • Last Updated. When the category was last updated (most recent first)
  • Random. A totally random order every time the page is loaded
  • Custom. You manually choose the order

Setting a Sort Order

  1. Head to Settings > Brand (or click here)
  2. Under Category Sort Order choose the order you'd like
  3. Hit Save Changes
Most of these ordering options are applied right away. If you chose Custom ordering you'll now see a reordering icon when you hover over categories in the Content menu

Managing Custom Category Ordering

If you selected Custom ordering for your categories you'll get the ability to drag and drop your categories from the Content tab. Just click, hold, and drop wherever you want.
