Connecting LiveChat

LiveChat gives you a fast way to help your customers and visitors. By connecting it to HelpDocs, you can easily chat to visitors on your knowledge base. 

We'll also record when someone starts a chat from your knowledge base under Contact Forms in our analytics. 

Connecting LiveChat

  1. In your LiveChat dashboard
    1. Go to Settings
    2. Head to the My Website section (or click here)
    3. Copy the number after lc.license
  2. In HelpDocs
    1. Go to Settings > Integrations
    2. Scroll down to LiveChat and expand
    3. Paste in your lc.license key
    4. Hit Save Changes

You'll now be able to chat with visitors and customers right from your knowledge base.

Depending on how you've set up LiveChat you may also need to whitelist your HelpDocs subdomain or custom domain in LiveChat Settings.
