Anonymizing IP Addresses
HelpDocs anonymizes IP addresses in analytics to prevent them being personally identifiable. Here's how to modify that setting.

By default HelpDocs anonymizes IP addresses in analytics to prevent them being personally identifiable. You'll still receive part of the IP, and be able to roughly identify the region the user is accessing from. But you won't have a way to find their exact location.
Anonymization is enabled by default to help with your GDPR and ePrivacy compliance. If you'd like to disable it, you'll need to have signed or opted out of a DPA.
Enabling anonymization does not anonymize IPs that are already recorded in historical analytics
Enabling or Disabling Anonymization of IP Addresses
- Head to Settings > General (or click here)
- Find the Data Protection section
- Check Anonymize IPs under Anonymize IPs in Analytics
