Available Fields for AI Generation
The AI assistant can automatically generate the following meta information:
- Meta descriptions - helps with SEO and search result previews
- Short versions - perfect for article previews and lists
- Tags - improves article organization and searchability
HelpDocs AI analyzes your article content to generate relevant meta information. For best results, make sure your articles have all their content written before generating meta details.
How to Generate Meta Information
You can generate meta information for your articles in two ways: individually or in bulk.
Generate for Individual Articles
- Head to your article
- Locate the meta sidebar on the right side of your screen by clicking the
meta button - Find the field you want to generate (description, short version, or tags)
- Click the pink sparkle ✨ icon next to the field
- Wait a moment while AI generates the content
- Review and edit the generated content if needed
Generate for Multiple Articles
- Head to Content
- Select the articles you want to update using the checkboxes
- Click the Bulk Edit button
- Choose:
- which meta fields to generate (description, short version, or tags)
- whether to overwrite existing metadata
- Let AI work its magic across all selected articles
- Review the generated content for each article as needed
