Whether you're getting started with the Block Editor or want to level up your writing speed, mastering shortcuts is the key to creating content effortlessly. These time-saving commands will have you formatting like a pro in no time!

Shortcuts and Key Commands

Speed up your workflow with these handy shortcuts! There are three main ways to quickly create blocks and format content:

Markdown shortcuts are typing patterns borrowed from Markdown syntax that automatically create formatted blocks. Cmd/Ctrl means use the Command key on Mac or Control key on Windows/PC.

Pro tip: Use Arrow Up/Down to navigate the slash command menu, then press Enter or Tab to select. Press Escape to close the menu without selecting anything.
