The block editor gives you a toolbox full of building blocks for your articles. Each one does something a little different, from plain text to interactive callouts. Let's break down every block type so you know exactly which one to reach for.
You can upgrade an older article to the new Block editor at any time in the article's ⋯ More menu, or contact support to upgrade all articles at once.
/ anywhere in an article to bring up the slash command menu and see all the blocks available to you.Text Blocks
Icon | Block Name | What It's For | Slash Command(s) |
Paragraph | The default text block for regular body copy |

Large Heading | For major section breaks |

Medium Heading | For subsections |

Small Heading | For smaller subsections within your content |

Bullet List | Unordered items |

Numbered List | Ordered items, perfect for step by step instructions |

Callout | Helps important information stand out from the rest of your copy. Choose from Note, Tip, or Warning |

Quote | Visually sets apart something someone else said from your own writing. Press Shift + Enter inside it to add extra paragraphs |

Code Block | Adds syntax highlighted code snippets. Highlighting shows up when the article is viewed, not while you're editing |

Markdown Block | Write whole sections using GitHub-flavored Markdown. It transforms into HTML when previewed |

Embed / Video | Drop in external content like YouTube, Arcade, Vimeo, or Spotify. You can also just paste in your link and it'll expand! ✨ |

Table | Organize data into neat rows and columns. Click the border of a table to reveal plus icons for adding rows or columns, and hover over a row or column to reveal a red X for deleting it |

HTML Block | For when you need full control, paste raw HTML |

Clip | Insert reusable content you've saved as a Clip. Update the Clip once and it updates everywhere it's used |
