Connecting Chatbase

Chatbase is an AI-powered platform that enables businesses to create custom AI Agents, tailored to their specific data and requirements. By integrating Chatbase into your website or application, you can enhance customer support, generate leads, and engage users more effectively. You can easily set up HelpDocs as a content source for your Chatbase AI agent 🤖

Setting Up the Integration in HelpDocs

First, you'll need to generate an API key that Chatbase can use to access your Knowledge Base content:

1. Head to Settings > Integrations > AI Tools
2. Click the ☰ menu next to Chatbase, then Connect
3. Click Connect Chatbase to generate an API key for the chatbot source page
4. Copy the URL that's generated in the Chatbase Source Page URL field

Configuring Chatbase to Use Your Content

Now you'll add your HelpDocs content as a source in Chatbase:

1. Head to Sources > Website in your Chatbase dashboard
2. Add the URL you copied from HelpDocs in the Crawl links section
3. Click Fetch links
4. When fetching is complete, click Retrain agent
